Blurb: Survival doesn’t come easy…

I’m a cautionary tale. A statistic. A victim. A single teenage mother from the poor part of town. Most of the time I’m too busy working and struggling to care what people think. Survival doesn’t come easy.

I have a dark secret, a pressure valve, a rare moment just for myself. On these nights I visit a club. There I find men who give me what I need. Men who aren’t afraid to take what they want.

Men like Colin.

But he takes more than a few stolen hours. He demands more than my body. He wants my heart and soul–my happily ever after. I never thought I’d be Cinderella. I never thought a man that rough could be my prince.

Review: It was alright, I liked it but it just wasn’t five star for me.

It was fast but the book was short so I can kind of understand why everything moved quickly. I wish it had been longer, maybe give the readers more of a time line in between the romance because of how Allie was.

Since the second book isn’t even 100 pages, maybe the author could have put the first and second book together? Or put a little more filling into this one.

This is why I don’t really go for short stories, there’s not much that can be said when it’s not even 200 pages, which is why I’m worried about the second book.

Now there are some that may surprise me and I get hooked because it’s just so wonderfully written but this is not one of them.

I just feel like there are some things that could have waited until the second book, you know, beef up the next one and add more to the story in this one.

Will I go on with the series? Maybe. I liked this book and I’m curious enough, with enough questions that I want to find out what happens.

I think this is a good little quick read for someone maybe using it for a filler but, it is slightly intense so be warned.

Thank you for reading my review.
