The teaser will get you excited, it makes it sound so adventurous and exciting but…it’s really not.
This was so boring that I just could not go on with it. I made it to chapter 11 only because it was part of this box set that had the second and third books with it. I felt like I needed to get through it because I already had those next books written in my book journal.
I’m going to have to mark those out though and put other books in its place. Good thing it’s in the one that I turned into a journal and not my actual one. There’s a lesson in there, don’t write down the next books just in case you don’t get through the first one. I just started journaling on Christmas so, it’s still a learning process.
This book had the potential to really be something magical and amazing, and while I can somewhat understand that she needed to grow into herself and find her powers, it was just boring. Maybe if the writing was different or not so simple it wouldn’t have been so bad. As it is, there was no excitement.
The things written in there were interesting and I wanted to know what happens but it felt like someone with a monotone voice was reading this and it was just long as well.
Though it didn’t actually do this, I just felt like I was getting a day-by-day play-by-play. If you read this book and like it or you’ve read this book and enjoyed it, great, let’s talk about it and maybe I’ll give it another shot.
Thank you for reading my review.
