Blurb: Zachary Degaud was twenty three when he died. The problem was, he didn’t stay that way.

Present day, he’s just another vampire with another unremarkable story. That is, until he manages to provoke a two thousand year old witch named Katrin, who wants to make him pay in the most horrible way imagined.

Along with his brother Sam, newly made vampire Liz and their only witch ally, Gabby, his only chance for survival is to summon the ancient and unpredictable vampire known as the Witch Hunter.

Zac is just looking for a way out of his psychopathic witch problems, but instead will find himself falling head first into a blood feud that has stretched thousands of years.

Aya has been asleep for the past 150 years, until she was awoken by a haunting call. The witch she has been hunting for thousands of years, Katrin, has resurfaced and marked a young, annoyingly arrogant vampire by the name of Zachary Degaud. Unless she does something, he will die a slow and painful death. He has given her an opportunity to end the witch, but does she want to help him or leave him to his fate? Zac will get under her skin like no one else has and she just might find herself making the ultimate sacrifice before he is gone forever.

They will both have to choose sides and look deep within themselves before the end. But, what Zac learns about himself, will surprise him most of all.

Review: This book I have twice, in the Paranormal 13 box set and before I got that, I downloaded this months ago. I didn’t even notice until I looked at the next title in the box set so kudos for getting one of the books five stars however, I did not read this in the set, I read the one I downloaded months ago.

Oh my goat, it was so good. I was pleasantly surprised at this. This really reminded me a lot of The Vampire Diaries, which I haven’t read but I have seen the show. I broke down and watched it on Netflix and I liked it, so while it is very similar, I liked that.

Here are some of the similarities that I caught and that means just a little bit of spoiler so, if you don’t want a spoiler, skip this next paragraph.

Two vampire brothers, a girl that both brothers love, though instead of getting turned later on, she’s been a vampire for almost a year, and a witch best friend. One brother is good, suppressing his vampire ways and feeding on animals and the other brother embracing it and oh so sassy, thinking he’s all that and a bag of chips. The best friend witch has a witch grandmother who helps her with her powers and helps her to unlock her potential. Sound familiar to you Vampire Diaries fans?

For those who skipped that, now you can look. In spite of the similarities or because of them, this was a great read, I was absolutely enraptured. It was so intriguing that I was leaning forward, my eyes wide, wondering what would happen next.

I admit that when I saw how it somewhat mirrored Vampire Diaries, I started to get wary, thinking badly of it but, I’m really glad that I didn’t put it down, it just blew my mind and I couldn’t put it down. It had just enough difference that it kept me interested and connected.

I really couldn’t believe the ending, I even cried out it was so shocking. I’m glad I was alone. It was a brilliant way to end the story, sadistic, but that cliff-hanger was just brilliant. If I had had the money, I would’ve bought the next book right then and there and kept reading but, I’m broke, even for $2.99 so I’ll just have to wait.

This is a book I would definitely recommend to anyone, it’s just action-packed, has plot twists and sassiness.

Thank you for reading my review.
